Established in 1959, Manuel Marques, Lda. is a family company with strong traditions in the codfish processing sector.

The business strategy is always based on the utmost concern with customer satisfaction as well as the high quality standard of our products.

The company Manuel Marques, Lda. commercializes codfish selected at the origin, essentially from Iceland and Norway, with a curing time above average, following the traditional processing rules of the old Portuguese codfish fleet.

In this way, we assure a genuinely Portuguese product - the codfish - with the true flavour of tradition.

In this internal process, we have to highlight the excellence of our employees, without which the quality criteria we propose would be difficult to achieve.

In addition to our activity, a new production unit was built in 2015 in Aveiro, where the deep-frozen codfish was introduced in our production, as well as an improvement and modernization of working conditions, increase of stock and production capacity.

For the future, we have a plan. With the support of all our partners, we will continue to be a reference in the business sector in which we operate: the cod processing industry.
